HelloStello was born from a simple frustration. While learning Spanish, I realized that traditional language apps were great for building a foundation, but they didn't help much when I encountered the vocabulary that appears in real books, podcasts, or specialized fields.

Reading a Spanish edition of Into the Wild, I found myself looking up countless words that I'd never seen in language-learning apps — and probably wouldn't use in everyday conversation. I wanted a simple way to collect, study, and actually remember the words that mattered to me. When I couldn't find a flashcard app that fit that need, I built one.

HelloStello isn't designed to replace your primary language course. Instead, it's a vocabulary-first companion for learners who want to move beyond the basics.
